FROM HANOI WITH LOVE – VIETNAMESE CUISINE

There’s certainly no lack of Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin; the citizens love this light Asian cuisine. No matter where you are, there seems to be a Vietnamese spot. In Neukölln though – beyond the Kreuzkölln area – you need to turn your head twice to find one. There’s Hamy at Hermannplatz, which I believe to be the best in this area, but a little further down the U8 near the “Leinestrasse” station, there’s a new spot: “From Hanoi With Love”. This joint is more cozy than most Vietnamese places, so you can actually come with friends to dine and linger a bit afterwards. The interior is somewhat hip and light, the menu offers all the classics like Phó & co. Although food is tasty, it’s not somewhere you’d travel across town to try; however if you happen to live in this part of town, it’s worth adding to your list of restaurants.
