The clean eating hype is now quite clearly here to stay, and a great new addition to the scene can be found near to Rosenthaler Platz. Superfoods & Organic Liquids offers classic health foods such as açai berries, chia seeds, and a selection of organic pressed juices, but uses the well known ingredients to create beautiful and flavorful bowls, salads, soups and dishes. The interior is minimal, with the bright, elongated room dominated by black and white Eames chairs and marble-topped tables. The color, therefore, comes from the dishes themselves; from the raw cacao smoothie bowl with pure cacao powder, to the spinach and goji berries mixed into the antioxidant salad. Squeezed fresh juices and infused beverages, such as the activated charcoal juice, are lined up in a large cooling rack, and for those who have an intolerance to gluten, the gluten-free sandwiches with juicy sourdough bread made from buckwheat flour are a sheer delight.
