LODE & STIJN AND MICHELBERGER MARKET — FRESH SUPPLIES TO COLLECT FOR THE PERFECT EASTER DINNER

LODE & STIJN AND MICHELBERGER MARKET — FRESH SUPPLIES TO COLLECT FOR THE PERFECT EASTER DINNER

Easter is all about the eating, and while this year might be a bit more low key, there are two Berlin businesses out to keep you supplied with the finest of foods. You might know Michelberger Hotel as a fun place to hang out with a giant can of coconut water, but starting today they are transforming into a mini food market, offering fresh organic produce from their suppliers and farmers in addition to ready-to-eat goodies from their kitchen including hummus, rice pudding, and Basque cheesecake (see their Instagram for the day’s offerings). Just head to the “check-in” window, fill out an order form and enjoy a coffee whilst you wait for your goods to appear at the “checkout” window. Once that’s done, complete your haul for the long weekend with a food box from the casual fine-dining masters at Lode & Stijn. Every week, the Kreuzberg restaurant is selling a different box of basics and delicacies for pickup, which this week includes their famous sourdough & oat porridge bread, braised lamb shoulder and belly from Bauernhof Weggun, smoked trout from Fischerei Stechlinsee, a bottle of milk and wine to wash it down with and much more besides. Oh and whilst you’re collecting your box why not pick up some traditional Dutch gouda, naturally available in both “oude” and “jong” varieties? Supermarket stress, be gone!
