What will it be like to drive in the future? Most of us don’t know: unless you are an industry insider, chances are you’ve never had a sneak peek at a next-gen vehicle. That’s what makes the current mobility exhibition at Drive on Friedrichstraße particularly cool: it’s full of cutting-edge cars that you can experience right now, plus interactive exhibits that preview the auto tech of tomorrow. A good time to check out the exhibition is the Drive Live after-work event on 28.10.2021, which blends electric cars with electronic music from DJ Sascha Braemer. Starting from 19h you can visit the laid back lounge-style setting for a program of networking and lively exchange, including a conversation with Sascha where he shares his personal views on mobility and sustainability. And then there’s the exhibition, the highlight of which has got to be an immersive demonstration of Audi’s augmented reality head-up display. In a special light tunnel, you can view from the driver’s perspective how the car superimposes vehicle data and navigation directions directly on the road ahead. Does tech like this sound too space-age to be true? If you need convincing, you can check it out yourself by booking a test drive (subject to availability!) in one of the latest Audi cars. Not bad for an autumnal after-work Thursday…
