CORPORATE RETREATS, WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS: A SPACE FOR OVERNIGHT TEAM TRIPS — THE VIELD IN VIELITZSEE

Work doesn’t always provide the space and time to think about the future: video meetings, catch-up calls and days spent in open-plan offices or cramped meeting rooms can make contemplation a challenge. But there is a space that’s perfect for considering the big stuff: The Vield, a business retreat and seminar venue located in the middle of the beautiful Prignitz region of Brandenburg. Founders Louisa Löwenstein and Casper Schmick have transformed a rural barn into a retreat center with plenty of space for both work and play. But the pair didn’t stop at building this “Offsite Innovation Space”: they also offer their expertise in the form of coaching on trendy topics like new work and innovation, though you can of course host your own workshop program. The heart of The Vield is its fully-flexible ground floor area which extends into the kitchen and includes whiteboards, projectors and diverse seating. A beautiful courtyard with aged brick walls offers a charming, sheltered outdoor spot for lunch or dinner.

There’s plenty of room to experiment here: during the Cee Cee team trip, we built two pizza ovens ourselves and prepared and ate the pizza together. If you don’t want to self-cater, the kind, talented Desiree will be happy to serve up modern home cooking during your stay, including freshly baked rolls in the morning. We had our first morning coffee in the large, sunny garden area before continuing with a hands-on pottery workshop in the neighboring barn. Besides all the thinking, talking and making, you can also visit the nearby lake or take a stroll through the fields around Vielitzsee. As for the accommodation, the entire first floor is taken up by sleeping space for up to 20 people, each with their own compact, private cabin. Our visit to The Vield really strengthened our team, and we returned to Berlin charged up and full of fresh ideas.
