LIFESTYLE FESTIVAL WITH SUSTAINABLE FASHION, FUN DESIGN PIECES, LIVE BANDS, DJ SETS AND STREET FOOD — THE NIGHTMARKET

With a vintage Japanese blouse in one hand and a Brammibals donut in the other, you look out over an abundance of wonderful and weird wares. In one corner you see handbags made of old bits of sneaker, in another are lycra bodysuits with a print that can only be described as “phallus-meets-church-window”. No, this isn’t a post-Berghain fever dream: it’s precisely what you will encounter at The Nightmarket, a two-day fashion and design market that brings together everything from sustainable garments to spicy street food (28 & 29.04.2023). Held under one big roof at Nåpoleon Komplex in Friedrichshain, the Frankfurt-founded event will be highlighting 50 small, local designers based in Berlin. Wardrobe wise, you’ll find shiny no-waste party wear from Impari, body-blessing tops and sets from Stella Graber and the aforementioned sneaker bags from Haram.

Beyond clothing, you can check out tongue-in-cheek candles and soaps from That Gay Creation and designs from Berlin’s favorite unicorn artist Roy DrawsDas Wetter magazine will be there with their latest issue, as will stylish sexual wellness brand Nevernot. Once your shopping bag is full, you can take a break with a taco or two (or three) from the food corner outside while catching some live music. But take your time: both days go on until 2am, with a Secret-Warehouse Party at 22h with DJs ‘til late. All-day fashion, food and fun – what more could our spring selves want?
