P & T — A NEW PLACE FOR DEDICATED TEA LOVERS

P & T — A NEW PLACE FOR DEDICATED TEA LOVERS

After all the coffee and crema hype, an amazing tea store has arisen in Berlin. This airy and minimalist space for tea and tea culture was designed by Fabian von Ferrari and opened by founder Jens de Gruyter, who is mad about the aromatic leaves. Even from the street you can see and smell world’s finest teas, presented on a large table and ordered by the grade of oxidation. Two tea dégustation stations will help you choose your favorite, then simply select from three sizes. The walls are decorated with beautiful tea pots and cups – many originating from Taiwan. P & T also carry a fine selection of paper goods from all over the world. A salon plus a kitchen in the back serves as a space for tea seminars and a mobile unit is ready for events. I recommend only visiting them when you have plenty of time. Tea takes time. Relax and enjoy. NT (Photos: Ludger Paffrath)
