PARS: EDIBLE PRALINE ARTWORKS FROM KRISTIANE KEGELMANN

PARS: EDIBLE PRALINE ARTWORKS FROM KRISTIANE KEGELMANN

Inside Pars exquisite polyhedron pralines you’ll find fillings and flavors far beyond the usual nuts and liqueur. How about Sicilian lemon and elderflower or beetroot and red currant? “Pars” is Latin for “part” or “piece’, and the pralines from this Kreuzberg chocolatier are little pieces of heaven, very much a cut above shop-bought chocs. Founder Kristiane Kegelmann, previously of traditional Viennese confectioners Demel, creates custom-made chocolates that make the perfect gift for extra-special occasions – think birthdays, Christmas parties and corporate events. Available to order in a range of editions, the pralines are coated in chocolate from Lithuanian masters Chocolate Naive and finished with gold leaf. But Pars’s speciality is collaborations, and now Kegelmann has teamed up with Nobelhart & Schmutzig to create a hazelnut and wild juniper-filled chocolate which, starting today (17.10.2019), will be given to guests as a treat for the journey home. It’s delicious confectionary turned into an art form. (Text: Benji Haughton / Photos: Pujan Shakupa)

Pars editions can be ordered online (allow two weeks). For custom-made creations, get in touch with Kristiane by email.
