Fangirls and -boys, take note: 160 of the biggest names in music today are about to descend upon Berlin for a week of musical collaboration and experimentation, brought together by Aaron & Bryce Dessner (The National), Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), and creative entrepreneurs Nadine and Tom Michelberger. On 18-19.8, you’re invited to join them for the second edition of People Festival — a weekend of musical experimentation and genre-transcending collaboration. The concept is simple: The artists meet one week before to create new music together, and perform to the festival audience for the first time across eight stages and studios, culminating in one final “Mixtape” session. There’s no line-up, no sponsors, and no musical boundaries — just the chance to see some of your favorite artists (Erlend Øye, Leslie Feist, Damien Rice, Chefket, to name a few) in a new and unique light.
