PHILIPPE NOWOTNY ON THE RESTAURANT MOUSTACHE

Moustache” is a French restaurant like no other in Berlin. Led by Gilles Papelian and Chef de Cuisine Jean Francois Martineau for over twenty years, the restaurant offers real french food (!!!) that is a unique symphony of taste and scent. The chef has his signature style of preparing the food and selects only the very best ingredients. Almost everything is homemade (!) in a traditional manner. Even though both chefs speak very good German, in entering the restaurant you’ll be welcomed in French. Moustache is my canteen. The three-course lunch menus offered here are typical Parisian midday meals; you can sit down for an hour and amuse your body with a real treat, ideally accompanied with a glass of their Bordeaux house wine. The evening menu offers simple but fine classics and changes twices a month. Additionally they have theme nights, such as the “Coc au Vin” night accompanied by a Beaujolais Nouveau wine; from November 17th to 19th.
