Creativity can emerge in even the most challenging of situations, as Schau20, a special exhibition by 32 fashion students from the Universität der Künste, proves. Locked down at home after Corona hit, these aspiring fashion designers got to work creating garments and design objects from donated antique tablecloths, overcoming the limits of isolation to create highly innovative pieces. The results of their work can be seen in a special exhibition running during Berlin Art Week (09.–13.09.2020) in the industrial surroundings of Berlin Decks by the Spree canal. In addition to viewing the items, you can also acquire them yourself in a raffle held on the last day, with proceeds going to the Amadeu Antonio Foundation which works against hatred and intolerance. Accompanying the show is a magazine edition designed by our sister agency Cee Cee Creative which includes photos and features in which the students share their experiences of designing during lockdown. You can pick up your copy in selected spots around town or at the opening night (10.09 from 18h), where there will be food and drink plus exhibitions from Office Impart (see below!) and artist Thomas Grandi.
