A walk through Berlin and suddenly the sun breaks through — a reflexive reach into the coat pocket comes up empty. Need a pair of sunglasses? That’s where Yun steps in. The Korean eyewear brand has opened a new store close to Breitscheidplatz and stays true to its philosophy: simple, fast and high-quality solutions. All frames are designed in-house by talented designers and are available at an all-inclusive price starting at 119 euros, including lenses, frames, and an eye test — your new glasses are ready to wear in just 20 minutes. The eye test requires no appointment, only a short visit to the store. There, the products are presented in a spatial concept designed by Gonzalez Haase AAS, which is entirely dedicated to light. The Berlin architecture firm captures not only the brightness but also the architectural landscape. In the center of the store is a mirrored column inspired by Egon Eiermann’s octagonal memorial church with its façade of blue glass tiles. The cool blue tones are complemented by aluminum surfaces creating a high-contrast interplay with warm wood accents and soft shop window lighting. Here, browse the models and find the right glasses for you. Customizable sunglasses with twenty different lens tints are also waiting to be discovered (depending on how strong the Berlin sun is shining). Here you will find quick solutions, high-quality designs, and a ray of light on the Ku’damm.
