Itching to escape the conventional this summer? You’re not alone. Let us invite you to a sensory getaway and dive deep into the extraordinary courtesy of Hendrick’s Gin. This August, the Scottish distillery and enricher of gin and tonics are coming to Berlin to serve up some of their juniper-tinged tipples in high-class style – namely in their “Hendrick’s Grand Hotel”. Over four days (19–22.08.2021), the Mitte restaurant and bar The Grand is being turned into a staycation destination for 45-minute “journeys” of G&T tasting plus some sensory surprises along the way. The rest is top secret, though you can expect elaborate visuals and a luxe ambiance (tuxedos and cocktail dresses are optional…) If you don’t manage to make it to the bar, not to worry because like all good establishments this one also does room service. For ten nights the Hendrick’s crew are taking over various Berlin bars including Bar Raval in Kreuzberg and Dachkammer in Friedrichshain to serve up their signature G&Ts – garnished with three slices of cucumber, of course. The bars will also be serving up complementary alcohol-free Cucumber Lemonade if you’ve got an early check-out in the morning, though we’d recommend you at least take a sip of the gin to experience that kick of the rose petal and cucumber infusion. You’re on holiday, after all…
