Working around Potsdamer Platz or busy at the upcoming Berlinale? You must be desperate for some decent coffee. Well, The Barn has heard your cry for help! Founder Ralf Rüller just opened a fifth outlet at the venerable Haus Huth – built in 1912 and considered the wine-and-dine hotspot of the 1920s. Flame-finished granite countertops, raw flooring, floating oak benches and Eames chairs – its clear-cut, streamlined interior design perfectly matches the architecture of Haus Huth, as well as the spirit of The Barn. Besides excellent sustainable single-origin coffee, there’s fresh lunch from a rotating menu. Select an organic wine from Charlottenburg’s Viniculture, try The Barn’s signature Rose Brew (Ethiopian AeroPress coffee with rose petals and lemon peel), or – if you dare – order a coffee cocktail. The Gedeb Beriti has rum, vermouth, bergamot liqueur and cold brew. And there’s more good news for coffee lovers in Neukölln: The Barn opened a brand-new store on Friedelstraße in October.
