Beginning on Friday (06.02.2026) with an early evening bridging Sicily and Berlin. Sorry Siracusa Aperitivo is an invitation from Sorry Press and Pinci. Together, they offer two hours of stories, moderated by Maria Hunstig, featuring texts by Adriano Sack and Lukas Kubina, alongside short stories by Annabelle Hirsch, Dana von Suffering, and others. For those who enjoy gazing dreamily into nature, Friday (06.02.) also offers a change of perspective. In an evening about birdsong and connecting with nature, Paul Wernicke reads from his book Vögel verstehen and talks about his work as a wilderness educator. At the Zabriskie Bookstore, it’s about attention, learning, and what happens when familiar sounds are paid attention to. And how does architecture sound? How does it resonate? On Saturday (07.02.), sound artist Bea Targosz guides participants through the Krumme Lanke and Onkel Toms Hütte residential areas. Plant Story is a soundwalk that frames architecture as a repository of history and ideology, in active dialogue with the surrounding landscape. Registration is required, and a thermos of warm tea won’t hurt. Flea market on Saturday? Think Klub Maison — cool candles, colorful rings, and playful interior finds. Kiosk La Boom offers a colorful array of pre-loved treasures in Wedding on Saturday (07.02.), perfect for spontaneous discoveries and friendly chats between clothing racks. For everyone who has to brave the city’s cold, the Solidarity Run for Cold Aid (07.02.) offers a chance to warm up.
No stress, no stopwatch — just five kilometers through the city. Donations go to the Berliner Kältehilfe and Kältebus. Even a few coins (from five euros) make a difference, and running together keeps you twice as warm. Saturday evening (07.02.) lies somewhere between camera and composition. At Galerie erstererster, 2025 Edited is launching, the new photobook from the photo editing class at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie. It features fourteen series, selected by fourteen photo editors, spanning Berlin and New York, intimacy and world events. On-site, there will be talks and the chance to take a copy home. From Ostkreuz to Antarctica: on Tuesday (10.02.), the Rangfoyer at the Deutsches Theater connects directly to Antarctica. Yes, really. At Theater im Eis, director Jan-Christoph Gockel and actors Julia Gräfner and Wolfram Koch share stories from their findings from the Neumayer III research station for the production Polaris (premiering June 2026). An evening about art under extreme conditions, life in no-man’s land, and theater far from any comfort zone. Those who want to boycott the month of love can meet like-minded people at Curly Bar in Wedding. On Wednesday (11.02.) is the Heartbreak Edition from Zine Maes, featuring Heartbreak Bingo, cocktails, and music. Hopeful hearts can try matchmaking, or at least find a Valentine. Or you can make your own luck: at Café Gentil on Valentine’s Day (14.02.), an open floral workshop invites solo visitors and couples to create arrangements together. And if that’s not enough, Snakegarden in Neukölln offers a Valentine’s Day Floral Workshop on the same Saturday (14.02.). Arrange flowers in floral foam, accompanied by snacks and prosecco (non-alcoholic included). Couples get a little extra; singles — no heartbreak!
