When we think of art, the first thing that pops into our heads is galleries. We stand, in awe, before priceless pictures. But far too few people live with real art on the walls of their homes. The New & Abstract platform wants to change that. What began as a curated Instagram account quickly became a vibrant community of art aficionados all over the world. New abstract art is shown (and sold) here. But it’s no longer just on social media… an online gallery and, more recently, a new showroom complete the concept. Unlike conventional galleries, there is no fixed program of associated artists, instead, the relevant positions are curated independently from the flood of digital postings and brought to life offline in the showroom. You can experience the difference in visual quality for yourself at the next Group Show on 22.08.2024. The materiality of the works is even more striking in analog than online. If the work is calling you, you can of course purchase it. So next time you mention the word “art”, you might think of your own living room instead of a curated gallery wall.
