At “Blattgold” (“gold leaf” in English), a promise is a promise; Adam Mikusch does not simply sell salad dressings but fine liquids to pimp up your greens with, from the balsamico-vanilla number to a honey-mustard mix. They even offer one that’s actually precious – it comes with real 22 carat gold leaves – called the superior dressing. All bottles are manually prepared, made with finest ingredients and without the use of any artificial flavors. “Our only flavor enhancer is passion” claims Adam and promises that their “dressings are addictive”. He’s been shaking, mixing and stirring incessantly and the result is his excellent and natural dressings (starting at 4€). You can top your salad or your meat and pasta dishes with them. You can find Blattgold bottles at the Wedding manufactory of “Haus der feinen Kost”, at select shops (see here) or at their online shop. If you want to try them beforehand, visit the market at Boxhagener Platz in Friedrichshain on Saturdays.
