This Schöneberg hairdresser offers a feel-good experience for both head and hair. Stylists Jill Kugel and Enrico Farkas opened the salon in June 2021 in a courtyard apartment far removed from the Berlin bustle. Inside, you’ll find hints of Japan both in the design and the hair care products from luxury brand Shu Uemura. A hairdresser and make-up artist, Jill knows all the latest trends: curtain fringes, wolf cuts and copper tones. You don’t need to have a precise idea of what you want when you go; the salon team will gladly advise you and share tips and tricks for styling your hair at home like a professional. When I was there, I didn’t just pick up styling know-how – I also discovered that hair is hygroscopic, or porous. That’s why, in addition to the aluminium foil and dye tubes, the cut hair is collected and turned into nets that are used to remove oil from the seas.
