COMMUNITY-BASED AND SUSTAINABLE — LIVING THE FUTURE AT THE BUCKOWER FELDER

COMMUNITY-BASED AND SUSTAINABLE — LIVING THE FUTURE AT THE BUCKOWER FELDER

For many it’s a dream: a permanent place that you can truly call home. Head south to the Buckower Felder, where housing co-op Urban Coop Berlin eG has its latest building project, and you can make it real. Due to finish in 2023, the 70 apartments in three blocks can already be reserved, letting you actively shape your living space before you move in. Monthly information events let you meet your new neighbors and discover the site’s architecture and sustainable features, with the chance to influence decisions over common spaces and landscaping. On 24.9 there is a session on eco-construction with wood, a material used widely in the development. Behind the sustainable idea is architect Robert Ostmann, who was inspired by innovative cooperative projects in Zürich. The result is a community-oriented concept, with floor plans suited to young families as well as WG spaces for up to three residents featuring all en-suite bathrooms and common room access. As well as private balconies there are also spacious shared patios outside – the perfect place for barbecues with the neighbors. Sign us up!
