Today marks the start of Female Food Days (17–19.11.2022), a three-day feast at The Playce at Potsdamer Platz featuring street food stands from all over the world. Local newcomers and established gastro players – all run by women – will be setting up shop and we’re here to give you the highlights. At Afropot you can try West African cuisine inspired by Ghanaian home cooking, while over at Love Bites you can grab doughy NYC-style cookies. One must-try is the Korean bibimbap bowl from Fräulein Kimchi, or there’s the smoked pulled pork BBQ burgers from duo Anna and Tom at Big Stuff Smoked BBQ (you might know them from Markthalle Neun). If it’s Italian comfort food you’re after, be sure to pay Gnoccheria Berlin a visit.
Decorated with colorful fabrics, lanterns and hanging plants, the stalls include locally brewed beer from Berliner Berg and lemonades and biodynamic wine from Treat Berlin, who are also doing wine tastings. There will also be an exciting workshop with Piaplants, plus a cozy hangout area with live music and DJs including Lockereasy. To finish up is something sweet: handmade mochi from Daifuku Mochi or (and?) elegant vegan cakes from Mansfield Park. The perfect lunch or after-work meal? We think so.
