You know the feeling of having nothing to wear, despite a wardrobe full of impulse buys and clothing you haven’t worn in months? Here to put an end to the paradox is Re-nt, a bright new light in Berlin’s sharing economy. Founded in October 2018 with the mission of transforming the fashion industry into one of zero waste (an aim as important as it is ambitious) this outfit rental service offers members curated pre-loved clothing on demand for four, eight or thirty days, lovingly sent in reusable packaging by RePack. With style and fit consultations, pop-up events and a new subscription model launching in March, you’ll be able to rent an ever-changing selection of items via a pay-as-you-go system. We’re feeling optimistic about this initiative’s potential to revolutionize our relationship with what we wear while allowing us to take a stand against the terrible labour conditions, environmental harm and waste generated by the fast fashion industry – all in (sustainable) style.
