BE THERE TO AVOID FOMO: DISCOVER THE NEW H&M COLLECTIONS AT THEIR BERLIN LAUNCH EVENT

We’d love to spoil the surprise, but we don’t even know where this exclusive party is happening. That’s what makes it even more intriguing. H&M is presenting two new collections and you could win tickets. As with any great fashion launch party, there will be a DJ and drinks. There’s only one way to be “in the know” before everyone else, and that involves taking part in the Ticket Raffle. So if you’d like to attend the launch of H&M Studio A/W 2024 and the Atelier collection of H&M Man in Berlin (26.09.2024, 19–22h), register here. ART ON THE GO AND MOMENTS FOR ETERNITY — DISCOVER KIOSQUE PIXEL & THE NEIGHBORHOOD WITH OUR NEW MAP

At the close of each summer, the bustling art scene around Potsdamer Strasse comes to life. This year, the Google Pixel pop-up space “Kiosque Pixel” has found its temporary home amid this inspiring hub. Just around the corner from Andreas Murkudis, Esther Schipper and the other high-end galleries of the Mercator Höfe, number 98 will host Julian Klincewicz‘s exhibition “Encyclopedia of Now” from 12.–15.09. 2024. It’s hard to believe, but the entire exhibition was shot using the new Google Pixel 9 Pro. Born in 1995, the multi-talented American photographer captures the fascination of human life in all its fleeting moments, rendered in unforgettable colors. The result is a collection of contemporary images, deeply rooted in social structure and complex aesthetics. We were so impressed by Julian’s art and the accompanying photo book that we teamed up with Google Pixel to do what we do best: share the best neighborhood recommendations for eating, drinking, viewing, dancing, and, of course, photographing. The result is the Google Pixel x Cee Cee Art Map.

Discover curated gallery routes and hidden gems around the pop-up gallery “Kiosque Pixel” — perfect for any time of day. Whether it’s coffee and a sweet treat on the go, lunch and aperitifs in the midday sun, or drinks, dinner and dancing, it’s all about art. And we’ve thought of everything, from contemporary art highlights and trendy social hotspots to charming cafés and relaxing parks. At the same time, Kiosque Pixel invites you to engage in talks and creative workshops where we’ll even teach you how to take the perfect snapshots with the Pixel. Every morning, the first 100 visitors will receive Julian’s fantastic photo book “Encyclopedia of Now” as a gift, along with coffee and pastries from Acid Café. How could it get any better? You can also find our Art Map on-site and at 30 other spots in the city, such as Rocket + Basil, Gragger and Green Door. Hurry and capture special moments before the magic fades and Potsdamer Strasse returns to everyday life.

SUMMER FINALE IN BERLIN — UPCOMING EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

August is entering its final days and to say goodbye to summer in style here are our top tips. On 29.08.2024, the hall at Silent Green will be transformed into a stage for Koaxula’s performance art. In “Deslenguadas”, artists Natalia Escobarand Daniela Huerta use whips as sound instruments to invoke the power of ancient serpent deities such as Coatlicue and Tlazolteotl. Singing, dancing, and careful staging create an impressive experience. For those who want to party, the End of Summer Garden Party hosted by Bar Sway and Sound Metaphors is on 31.08.2024. DJs like Benji DF, Courtney Baile, and Daniel Wang will provide the perfect summer soundtrack, with wine and snacks from Sway. On Sunday (01.09.2024), the Green Market Berlin will once again open its doors for Vegan Sundays in the Eierhäuschen garden. Here, plant-based delights and sustainable products are central. From vegan street food to handmade lifestyle items, there’s plenty on offer. You can round off the weekend with a view of the Spree.

To start the week, a Monday evening awaits at Bergmanns that will delight all wine lovers. Under the guidance of Elena, an experienced sommelier with stints at the renowned Nobelhart & Schmutzig and Jaja, you will be introduced to the world of natural wines. Five carefully selected options, accessible to novices and connoisseurs alike, are on the program. Homemade snacks, sourdough bread and pickled delicacies will be served too. The cozy terrace at Bergmanns — which overlooks the bustling neighborhood — provides the ideal backdrop for a relaxed summer evening.

COLD BREWS, HOT ROLLS AND A DAY OUT IN BRANDENBURG — OUR EVENT PICKS FOR THIS WEEKEND AND NEXT

August isn’t over yet, so why not enjoy those summer moments while you still can? For some inspo, check out our event picks for this weekend and next – featuring a few of the finer things in life. First up: some seafood decadence at the cozy Nomi Weinbar with Lobster Rolls & Day Drinking (24.–25.08.2024). Chicken burger connoisseurs Maximilian and Carlo from the popular Birds in the Kitchen pop-up series are taking over the Kreuzberg bar to serve up shrimp and lobster rolls and mac and cheese, paired with Nomi’s well-curated wine selection. Skipping ahead to Sunday (25.08.): trade your regular coffee haunt for the Klub Maison event space in Wedding where you can catch the Two Gather Coffee Pop-Up. Sub-zero coffee fans Long and Son will be brewing cold drip coffee, coffee sodas and Cà Phê Sữa Đá, a Vietnamese iced coffee made with condensed milk. Finally, on to next weekend: if you fancy swapping the Berlin summer hustle for some countryside culture, Kalit Festival (31.08.–01.09.) at Gutshaus Friedenfelde is just the ticket.

The imposing manor house (which you can stay at) is the venue for a self-initiated Kalit music weekend that combines late baroque and 18th century Berlin classicism with contemporary compositions. Our highlight: the reading with Sophie Rois, in which she performs fairy tales by Brentano and Bettina von Arnim under the title “Lämmerfrass & Hasenschreck”. Music aside, the event is a nice excuse to escape the city and make the most of the dwindling summer days. Go on, treat yourself…
