GET READY FOR A CAFFEINATED WEEK: COFFEE WEEK BERLIN IS ABOUT TO START & THE COFFEE FESTIVAL IS COMING UP!

GET READY FOR A CAFFEINATED WEEK: COFFEE WEEK BERLIN IS ABOUT TO START & THE COFFEE FESTIVAL IS COMING UP!

A week fueled by caffeine awaits — filled with new experiences, aromas, and great people! Coffee Week Berlin and Coffee Festival Berlin (tickets available here) are organized by the agency behind this newsletter, Cee Cee Creative. The motivation: a love for good coffee, matcha, and events that bring people together. So let’s go — in reverse order: The Coffee Festival Berlin is a two-day event at the beautiful Atelier Gardens. The name says it all: alongside the historic sound film studio buildings, you’ll find urban gardening and plenty of space for community. A perfect spot to spend a relaxed, sunny September weekend (26–27.09.2025) with the scent of coffee in the air. The festival isn’t just for coffee pros, but for everyone who loves coffee, tea, and matcha and is looking for a couple of fun-filled days. Around 30 roasteries from Berlin, Germany, and across Europe will be on-site presenting their products — among them Black Hat, Coffee Circle, Communal Coffee, DAK, Five Elephant, Röststätte, and many more. Discover your favorite roast, taste different coffee varieties, and find beans to take home. There will also be matcha brands, machine manufacturers, and a supporting program from panel talks on coffee pricing to workshops on latte art and filter techniques. SumUp is offering small B2B sessions tailored especially for cafés and shop owners. And if you’re strolling across the festival with friends and family (free entry for kids!), you’ll already have had a caffeine-packed week because Coffee Week is the accompanying citywide program running all week long.

It kicks off on Monday morning (22.09.) with a relaxed get-together at the Maro X Oatly X Introvert Brunch. On Tuesday (23.09.), wind down your evening at Coffee Circle’s beautiful space in Wedding with Coffees of Africa: Cupping. Wednesday (24.09.) is for early birds. At 7:30 am, the Coffee Circle Community Run with Minor Figures begins — perfect for anyone caught up in marathon fever. If you’ve never joined a cupping before, head to Café Zwipf for the Public Cupping. But Coffee Week isn’t only about coffee; there will be matcha tastings too, and the event L’Aperitivo – Coffee Circle x La Marzocco x Matchasome proves that the two don’t compete. And if the aperitivo puts you in a party mood, stop by the Opening Party Vly x KitchenTown. But this is just a small taste — more info and the full program can be found here. A week dedicated to flavor, outstanding coffee, this city, and the people who shape it.

AUDIBLE, APPROACHABLE, DANCEABLE: CROISSANT SESSION NO.04 AT WESTBERLIN WITH FOMO BERLIN, LUCA NOVA & SVP

AUDIBLE, APPROACHABLE, DANCEABLE: CROISSANT SESSION NO.04 AT WESTBERLIN WITH FOMO BERLIN, LUCA NOVA & SVP

Always wanted to dance next to a church? And not just any, but a Kreuzberg architectural icon? The time is now! This Saturday (20.09.2025), Croissant Session No.04 takes us to the café Westberlin, located in the former parish center of St. Agnes Church. The Düttmann building, remodeled by architect Arno Brandlhuber, is a hybrid of café, cultural venue, and workspace. With its minimalist architecture, thoughtful interiors, and better views, it’s the perfect setting for our next Croissant Session. As always with our new event series, it’s what Cee Cee is all about: community, music, and connection. Together with Coffee Week Berlin and FOMO Berlin, we’re inviting you to spend your Saturday morning out on the terrace-slash-dancefloor. The soundtrack comes courtesy of DJs Luca Nova (unfamiliar Festival) and SvP with an exclusive back-to-back set — energetic, joyful, and danceable. Come early: the first guests will get a slice of Westberlin’s freshly baked Croissant Pie on the house, while supplies last.

UNFINISHED, YET OPEN: THE BAUHAUS-ARCHIV CELEBRATES ITS CONSTRUCTION SITE

UNFINISHED, YET OPEN: THE BAUHAUS-ARCHIV CELEBRATES ITS CONSTRUCTION SITE

Everyone loves a construction site, as long as it’s not their own home. Scaffolding, excavators, and cranes tend to spark curiosity. After a long renovation break, the Bauhaus-Archiv is inviting visitors onto its own construction site — a preview of what’s still to come. From 19–21 September 2025, the festival Kommt auf die Baustelle! opens the extension designed by Staab Architekten — the building that will one day house the world’s largest Bauhaus collection. For three days, the construction site transforms into a festival ground. Expect installations and performances, guided tours of the architecture and building process, and a Bauhaus workshop for those who prefer hands-on experiences. The program also features film screenings and talks, including a conversation with museum director Dr. Annemarie Jaeggi and architect Prof. Volker Staab, who reflect on the past and present of the institution, and, of course, on what’s still to come. Since the festival coincides with Musikfest Berlin, there will also be concerts. On Sunday (21.09.), Kai Hinrich Müller will host the chamber concert From Bauhaus to Broadway at the Philharmonie. Plus, a true Bauhaus highlight: the cubist opera Parabola and Circula (1929/30) by Marc Blitzstein celebrates its world premiere nearly 100 years after its creation, conducted by Karl-Heinz Steffens with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. So instead of caution tape, there’s a full cultural program: the construction site as one of the city’s most beautiful interim solutions.

TO THE TABLE! A WEEKEND OF RITUALS, RHYTHMS & RICE TEA WITH CC’S CALENDAR TIPS

TO THE TABLE! A WEEKEND OF RITUALS, RHYTHMS & RICE TEA WITH CC’S CALENDAR TIPS

Soft visions, dinner ceremonies, morning rituals: here’s what could unfold for you this weekend amid patterned rugs, fermented rice, and live sets. Here are CC’s Calendar tips for the last weekend of the summer. In Prenzlauer Berg, a warm, inviting gathering space opens for the weekend (18–20.09.2025): Beyza Nur of Wild Heart Free Soul and Samira of Limala invite you to a three-day Ruglet Bazar, where Anatolian kilims and Moroccan carpets stack up, their stories visibly interacting. Both work closely with family-run businesses and artisans, making tradition tangible through thread and color. Alongside the handwoven pieces, expect mint tea, Turkish sweets, and a soundtrack of 70s Moroccan funk & disco. Meanwhile, Reiko Kanazawa is hosting two special evenings at mimi ferments (20–21.09.) blending ritual and pleasure. Ancient Japanese ceremonies mark seasonal transitions, brought to life at the Equinox Art Dinner: an installation of curtains and mirrors, a short performance by poet and singer Pegelia Gold, and a multi-course menu featuring fermented foods with regional ingredients. From koji cheese to elderflower amazake ice cream, everything is as surprising as it is deliberate. Accompany your meal with housemade drinks like Doburoku (sake with fine rice particles) or Koji-cha(fermented rice tea). If you’re wandering through Kreuzberg on Saturday morning (20.09.), follow the house beats and scent of fresh coffee to Café Westberlin, where the fourth edition of our Croissant Sessions kicks off.

Together with Coffee Week Berlin and FOMO Berlin, we’re celebrating Saturday morning with fine coffee, good company, and light day-party vibes. Luca Nova and SvP provide house beats ideal for starting the day. Early birds will get a slice of Croissant Pie on the house, a sweet extra reason to kick off your Saturday with us! And how do we transition from coffee cups to wine glasses? Just around the corner, Boii Boii is hosting its own ritual on Saturday (20.09.). For the third edition of Wines from the Block, wine shop Suff will be pouring its favorite selections, accompanied by a live set from Beck. Snack on homemade Thai bites in between — perfect for sharing. On Sunday (21.09.), van Hofen in Neukölln invites you to Liquid & Solid, a workshop where wine flows and jewelry takes shape. Jewelry designer Carolin Dielerwill demonstrate a special lost-wax casting technique, demonstrating how wax forms are later transformed into silver. While the van Hofen team pours selected natural wines, tailored to your taste. A hands-on experience for both tools and wine glasses! Again in Kreuzberg, Ember returns with its series of convivial dinners. Where exactly? In the glasshouse, on the rooftop, at sunset. Over two evenings, enjoy Communal Dining with three courses using local and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The twist: tables and plates are shared. It’s all about tasting, discovering, and enjoying how food brings people together. Expect an intimate, communal feast. The first event is already sold out; the second takes place next Friday (26.09.)!

FROM ART TO RUNNING & ONTO THE DANCE FLOOR: MARATHON WEEKEND WITH ON AT KRAFTWERK

FROM ART TO RUNNING & ONTO THE DANCE FLOOR: MARATHON WEEKEND WITH ON AT KRAFTWERK

Planning your race weekend in Berlin? Be sure to stop by On Labs Berlin. For three days, sports brand On is transforming Kraftwerk Berlin into a space where innovation, art, music, and running culture converge. Just a few days remain until the Berlin Marathon, and you can already feel the energy in the air. On weekends, Berlin’s parks fill with runners completing their final training before the big race. Their faces show total focus mixed with excitement, as the marathon brings a wealth of side events that make the weekend surrounding the 21.09.2025 a unique experience. This year, Swiss brand Onis creating one of the absolute hotspots with its program. From Friday to Sunday (19–21.09), On will turn Kraftwerk Berlin into a multisensory experience — not just for runners, but for anyone curious to take part. At the heart of the event is the LightSpray™ robot, which produces the company’s lightest performance running shoe in just three minutes, worn by marathon icons Hellen Obiri and Samuel Fitwi, among others.

To let you experience this innovative technology in a truly special way, On has teamed up with Dutch artist Boris Acket. With his spatial installation Architecting Lightness, he transforms air into a meditative, sculptural environment where lightness takes shape and becomes visible. Inspired by Acket’s Einder series, a large-scale, semi-transparent textile floats freely in the space, moved by invisible air currents. The textile’s gentle movements guide you through the installation, evoking an intense feeling of freedom. On Friday evening (19.09), Kraftwerk becomes a stage for Berlin’s music scene: together with Berlin label Heisss, expect an evening of electronic music from Amotik and Inox Traxx, as well as performances by Heisss residents Kim She and Disguised. It’s the perfect start to your race weekend. Saturday (20.09.) has even more in store: On Labs Berlin presents a music night with Atonal, featuring DJ sets by Logic1000, Big Ever, and Lee Gamble. The latter also brings an installation that conveys the sensation of lightness through sound. If you’d rather focus on your own performance, On has curated a lineup of workouts (Hagius) and workshops (Tourist). And for a personal sense of lightness, there will also be massages by new:soul.
